[quote:b5d1278bef="JohnMRoss"]I just check in here to find out my error and now I have to try and replace a 6th & 9th round picks with 18th round players.

How can I do this and compete?

To me my options are;
1. We redraft from the 6th round.
2. I get out of the league and you can redraft from the beginning.
3. I will play this league as a "filler" and join another

Teepak - let me know what we can do.

Some please approve my drops.

Sorry and thanks.

John, I had to replace my 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks later in the draft because I got my draft themes mixed up. Don't worry about being competitive. With my team in the league, you already have 11th place. And also, I know a lot of the other guys in the league.....they just aren't that good!!....so you're OK.

I just made my 18th round pick so the draft should be over unless there are more NL players on teams.

John,

We cannot redraft, so options 1 and 2 are out. If you want to do this team as a filler and join another league, that's fine.

Remember that each manager is responsible for drafting an eligible team.

I found an error in the draft see below. Albert2B drafted two player in the 16th round. Based on the time stamps he should have Pierzynski and not Hernandez.

I would then request Hernandez and I will drop Wright if this is possible.

16 187 ALBERT2B Hernandez, F* S(6) 1.56 9/8/2007 13:25
16 187 ALBERT2B Pierzynski, A* c-3(+1)e2,T-2(pb-3) 2.05 9/8/2007 11:55

Thanks

let see, i didnt take my guys early enough and other GMs took my guys with their pick JUST before i made my picks and/or I didn't set my proxies in an optimal manner.

Is that a "do over"?

all of you made the same mistakes and ALL 11 of you should be "fillers" so that I am the only one with an active tour team in this league.

Unfortunately, there is more than this one error.

I remember [i:17a872dcaf]Felix Hernandez[/i:17a872dcaf] specifically, because I had him as my next proxy to fire when he was selected ahead of me. I believe [b:17a872dcaf]Albert2B[/b:17a872dcaf] claimed him legitimately in an earlier round. Obviously, when the picks actually occurred, he did not have back to back picks (as it now appears).

This may also be related to the problem I had when I selected [i:17a872dcaf]Casey Blake[/i:17a872dcaf], only to see him disappear back into the player pool around this same time. There is apparently something malfunctioning within the somdraft site.

That being said, somehow [b:17a872dcaf]Albert2B[/b:17a872dcaf] now has 19 picks when he should not. I believe we first have to ask [b:17a872dcaf]Albert[/b:17a872dcaf] the sequence in which he drafted, and who should not be on his roster. Hopefully the rest of us who may have been following the draft closely can verify his picks for him. If you notice, [i:17a872dcaf]many[/i:17a872dcaf] of the date stamps after Round 15 are out of order. I'm not sure what happened here, maybe someone else can shed some light??

 :? :?

[b:62dd492059]Wock:[/b:62dd492059]

John has made his drops and took available new selections. I think we can move past the original post of frustration because it looks like he's ready to move on accordingly, as I figured he would.

Not sure about the other part about the rest of us, I think for the most part the majority of us selected appropriately. Your point is made, but I think we've already moved on from here.

The post about [b:62dd492059]Albert2B[/b:62dd492059]'s picks is legitimate and we do have to figure this out.

my point was in jest.....with just enough sarcasm to identify an issue. I moved on. NOW, can I pick Casey Blake a little earlier????? I botched my proxy there.

[b:ea84e62718]Wock[/b:ea84e62718]:

So we're clear, this is precisely what happened.

My proxy of [i:ea84e62718]Casey Blake[/i:ea84e62718] in Round 16 fired and he was on my roster. If anyone (possibly someone who picks near me) was watching the board, they can confirm this.

At some point between my Round 16 pick and my Round 17 pick, [i:ea84e62718]Casey Blake[/i:ea84e62718] was removed from my roster and looking at the draft summary, it appeared I had been skipped over (with proxies still loaded and waiting to fire), because my Round 16 pick was blank and [b:ea84e62718]Durantjerry[/b:ea84e62718] and [b:ea84e62718]Woods[/b:ea84e62718] had already selected.

This led to my post on September 8th at 18:23 hrs.

Because I was not looking for a player to be [b:ea84e62718]de-selected[/b:ea84e62718] from my team, it took a little further investigation to discover what had happened. This led to my post four minutes later reporting what I had found. In hindsight, I should have not added [i:ea84e62718]Jaime Walker[/i:ea84e62718] as my Round 16 pick, because I had already selected [i:ea84e62718]Blake[/i:ea84e62718] for that round. I was prepared to drop [i:ea84e62718]Walker[/i:ea84e62718] and re-select [i:ea84e62718]Blake[/i:ea84e62718], but by the time it was all said and done, the draft came back around to me and I simply re-added [i:ea84e62718]Blake[/i:ea84e62718] (see my post at 19:48 hrs).

I can understand your confusion, but [u:ea84e62718][b:ea84e62718]I did not botch a proxy or make a mistake[/b:ea84e62718][/u:ea84e62718]. I posted everything as I discovered it publicly. I've been doing this a while, so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing.

Now, obviously, [b:ea84e62718]Albert2B[/b:ea84e62718] did not get back to back picks. There is something malfunctioning in the somdraft code. You shouldn't be able to make 19 picks if you wanted to. This is nothing new either, as our last live draft had code problems as well. If you notice, many of the date stamps after Round 15 are out of chronological order.

If you have heartburn or problems over any of this, please state your case. The sarcasm is fine to make a point, but all I ask is to please back up your point first and show a little consideration. If you think I need to cheat on a Round 16 pick to get an edge, then you haven't been playing long enough.
