Well, my team is really not doing well. I made some changes and here it is. But, maybe my manager strategy or player card settings are hurting me. You vets have any suggestions for the Angels team? I am a bit new to this thing.

Too much money tied up in bench at first glance. Looks like a lot of hitting matchups based on who your foe will be. Better off keeping it more simplistic. Platooning is fine for one or two positions. Kotchman's role? Perez's?

Thanks Jerlins.

Well, I had Kotchman as defensive replacement for Konerko. But Konerko is stinking it up offensively. So thinking about platooning with either Merloni or Konerko? Perez is in a platoon at 2B with new pickup Kennedy. Uribe was doing horrible and I wanted to do better at OBP. All my SP's are not performing so far. Just picked up Vasquez and he pitched well last night.

Is there anything I can do to get Eric Chavez, Konerko, Jeter, Vladdy to pick up there BA and OBP?

One thing you have to remember is that the numbers will not always match the players performance. Keep in mind there are only 12 teams, so you're not facing the slop most major league teams run out there on a daily basis, You're facing the best hitters and pitchers. Some player's numbers will be skewed by the ballpark you're putting them in, for example, David Ortiz should perform better in Shea than in Petco, so you need to find players that will fit your ballpark.

Like the previous poster mentioned, read the newbie thread. Its a great insight, and I find myself rereading it many times. Don't get discouraged, learn from your mistakes, read the forums, experiment a little, and you'll find you'll understand the game a wee bit more each time.

Thanks for all the insight. I already panicd and made the unpardonable sin/mistake. I have cut 6 players this year. Didn't see the 20% thing until I had already made some of them. Then didn't put alot of thought to some of it. Only trade offers I get is trying to get Vladdy from me for someone like Drew. I told them I don't want the lefty and would not part with Vladdy.

Oh well, Next team I do will be different I hope. Didn't spend enough time setting up my draft team. I will keep that newbie thread around from now on.

Thanks again.
