I'm pretty certain Granderson wouldn't have slid another 15 slots to my next pick...

just to clarify, you can only take players with no MLB experience in the prospect draft right? Players with MLB experience that are not eligible for this draft cannot be taken until the FA draft correct?

I looked at granderson as well. but he is a platoon guy. having said that... he is an OPS beast versus righties and a damn good fielder. And i am guessing you will end up having the money to platoon him.

Yes, that is correct. No MLB experience of any kind for the prospect draft.
Only SOM cards for this draft. And any player with at least 1 at bat or 1 batter faced are eligible for the annual spring free agent draft.

Granderson does have to be platooned, but there always seems to be whole bunch of players that pound LH pitching and are CF eligible.

Its the other way around that can be a problem sometimes -

With AF trading away Beltran, Granderson might not have made past this round

That FA draft order will be tied to record correct? And will we effort to do that draft before the ratings come out for next years set?

That is what attracted me to upton. I looked @ granderson long and hard.
Upton's ZR and RF number are almost identical to Ichiro's . But i suspect no better than a 3 for upton next year.
