Anyway... after reading all the posts and replys I will once again say I am happy either way. I was not putting any strong emphasis on 2007 or the future. I was trying to draft those that will help me now and long term (Howard,Phillips,Young,Berkman,Oswalt,Penny) plus filling for the now and then would draft whomever in the FA and prospect as need whether surpentine or not. I may end up in last place every year but I am trying to win(within reason) every year. With all that being said, lets rumble and post the final final final rules that we should live by now and through the 2030 playoffs. :shock:[/quote:e631fadd44]

To answer Qk's question (which may be moot now, since the proposition looks like it will now fail) an abstention is exactly that - an abstention. It counts as a vote. The super majority is 8 votes, period. Any abstentions count as votes cast. 8 votes are always needed to change the rules.

We will continue on as before. There will be some housekeeping duties that I will want to address in the near future, including:

1) When will rule change proposals be allowed. I think most of you will agree that a rule change proposal in the middle of a live draft is not the best time to be making the changes.

2) The matter of changing one's vote after it's been cast. Should we continue to allow it, or should a vote be a vote and you have to stand by your initial choice.

Give me about 10 minutes to catch up and I'll pick

Totally OT, but did any of you see my beloved Orange from Syracuse upset Loiusville Saturday?? A 37 1/2 point road dog wins by 3. Hopefully it's the start of a turn around for a program that desparatly needs one.
