Should we limit round 4 to infielders?

Since it looks like round 3 is going to outfielders, should round 4 be overpriced infielders?

FYI. Marshall and Puhl put up HUGE numbers for me 80% of the time. Depending on who I end up with, I'm all for trading for either of them. 8)

I don't recall the last time I haven't seen Marshall on the FA wire. Whether he was used and dumped or never used at all, he always seems to be there and I think I've used him once over 40+ teams. I think every player can get lucky and rock, Marshall and Puhl are still overpriced.

I mean, I can make the same argument for Baker and Valentine as I've used them much more than Puhl and Marshall, in which I had very good success with both (and sometimes not). Although I would agree that both are overpriced, very similar to Marshall and Puhl.

Opinions are like........noses (yeah thats it!) everybody's got one. It is not like one person's experience with a player is like the next person's. We are just listing players that each individual person thinks is overpriced. Maybe some of us will "luck out" and get one of these players that we don't feel is that bad at all.

I don't think I've ever used Puhl, so maybe he is better than I'd expect. He could make a good platoon player 3 of 5 years, but 5 mil seems to be steep considering that you're forced to platoon him. I hardly ever see Marshall taken in the leagues I'm in. I do agree that Dusty is the ultimate over-priced player.

I remember one of the Mystery Leagues (?) where Schroeder was a "stick" pick (someone forced upon a team by another team) and his card was the .900+ OPS card, so any of these players could end up not being overpriced for the actual production.

Marshall (Just a few recent and current years):

With his BPHR, he can even be usable in his worst season as an expensive platoon.

I don't have time to find my Puhl years, but I'll be happy with his .380-.410 OBP. 8)

Has anybody here ever used Dan Gladden...

3.5 Mil for him seems like a waste...

Rich,

I have twice and I have just picked him up on a current team. One bad season and in the other he hit .317 with an OBP of .369 (160PA) with 11 SB out of 14 attempts. It was his '89 card. He is platoon against lefties and useable as a defensive replacement late in the game. He was .383 with a .444 OBP against left handers.
