NLD 12

Big sweep by Day's United to really tighten things up in the east, not that it wasn't tight already. Hopefully getting David Wright back will spark us over Smokee tonight.

Down here in So. Fla now, temp is currently at 74 but it's a little muggy

Meanwhile, On my first mini hot streak of the year. Yes it's a mini, but I'll take any hot streak with the way this team has performed.

It didn't start out that way, but this version of NLD is turning to form. In any other league but the NLD it would be unbelievable to have 7 of 12 teams within 1 game of 1st place with 129 games in the book!

We're down to the last 11 nights of NLD for 2005. Isn't it interesting that the regular season will end almost identically with the calendar year. Good planning, Niners!

Almost forgot, thanks for the sweep Jeep. Glad you got hot against Hawkeye! 8)

Hey Silver,

question for you. Does Ward always hit 100 points over his average in Coors? I mean what production for .95! I just don't know if it's an anomaly or that's common to see.

Question for the league: Is it poor form for someone far out of first place to make any trades at this point in the season?

On another note, I'm not sure where my partner gets Ward hitting 100 points over his average. It looks more like 57 points to me. Regardless, given his 8 BPs in Coors and facing mainly righties his average seems above expectations but not far beyond.

I guess it depends. I haven't found to many guys that are actually WILLING to do that. I don't think it would happen here, that is unless Jeep has sent out some offers  . And if he has I'm suprised I haven't gottn one.

It is one reason I like the idea of a keeper league though, At least then you can justify giving up on the now for benefit later.

Speaking of trades, and especially trades with Jeep, I've gotta say thanks again for swapping Wright for Morneau. Wright has been terrific for me and Morneau has done for you what he was doing for me, not much. Something I don't understand. He's only had about 10 ab's for you vs LH and still he's stinking up the joint. Sometimes I think HAL just hates some players and Loves others.
