Ode to PJ: My Fenway '67 team

Thought I'd play with some fireworks for a season. Here is the team pre-waivers:

Pretty amazing draft. Only missed on 3 players: Aaron (Furrillo), Worrell (Hooper) & Lake (Stahl), remains to be seen if that's good, bad or ugly.

Never tried Adcock before but I've seen some impressive numbers from him lately. Would like to get 1 more nice lefty bat and another lefty for the pen.

Of course, Nevster The King is in the division, so just looking to be .500 and have some fun. Think this group of misfits can get me there? :)

I like it so far, and it looks like you've got some cash left to round out the bats.

After waivers. Picked up a couple cheap lefty bats: May & Cash, took $$ left and got an ace.

3. Yount, Robin (R) SS
4. Furillo, Carl (R) RF
5. Thomas, Gorman (R) CF
6. May, Milt (L) C
7. Wera, Julie (R) 3B
8. Cash, Norm (L) 1B

I've used May, and I've used Cash. I like them both.

I don't like them together.

You should have platoons for the pitchers' parks, Lake and Burns.

Yount is not a #2 hitter, very high DPs. Thomas is better.

1. Morgan, Joe (L) 2B
2. Thomas, Gorman (R) CF
3. Yastrzemski, Carl (L) LF
4. Yount, Robin (R) SS
5. May, Milt (L) C (this is too high for him...)
6. Furillo, Carl (R) RF
7. Cash, Norm (L) 1B
8. Nettles, Graig (L) 3B

4 guys with low OBP will lead to too many solo shots...

Much better. The changes will definitely help you score more runs.
