Worst cards?

Postby 1crazycanuk » Fri Dec 23, 2005 8:25 am

I'm beginning to think I got the worst cards for every player on my team. Has anyone else thought that before? If it is true...I think it's a bunch of b.s.!

The cards you receive have been adjust for the Canadian dollar.

Depending how may games into the seaon you are you can tell, but yeah,I have teams were most of the cards sucked.

Yes it can happen. I had a team where 7 of my 9 position players and my top 2 pitchers had their worst cards. It can happen. Keep in mind it's early. I am sure every mgr on these boards can relate stories of a great card that started off slowly in the first 25-30 games.

Sometimes even good cards can look bad. I had '85 Sweet Lou bat only .220 with a .307 OBP. If he hadn't provided good glove I would have dropped him thinking I had his worst season.

Keep the faith my friend. It's highly unlikely that you have everyone's worst season. Hopefully it's early enough in the season. If so, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I don't start to look seriously at trends until about 1/3 into the season (although I track injuries from game 1). About that time stats are starting to take shape.

You probably saw some bad boxscores this morning and you're a little PO'd. I feel your pain! I have 7 teams going at the moment (mostly ATGII) and I didn't take ONE series. I even got swept in a few.

LOL that was funny. :) wish there was a thumbs up emoticon. Hey have you seen in our league how MOST of the pitchers have sucked? People have been dropping pitchers left and right.

Hey cpl...that really sucks man. I feel YOUR pain.

Panzerace...we're about almost 60 games in I think. My OBP is going down every game and Clemens keeps getting beat. I don't want to drop him though but he's making me mad.

Is there a set max/min ratio

Postby PaddyLanePounders » Fri Dec 23, 2005 5:27 pm

between best/worst year cards that a team drafts? For example HAL only allows a max of 10 best year cards to be drafted? Or is it possible, although mathmatically unlikely, to get the best years on all 25 cards during the draft?

Good question fitch. I wonder if that's the case. It appears that MOST of the pitchers in my league have their worst cards cuz they're being dropped faster than you can pull up their cards.
