Just looked back in on this thread, to see how you guys were doing. I didn't realize, when I said I couldn't continue, that you guys were going to put off the next league until after New Years. Thought you were looking to start up this week. AFTER New Years would be no problem for me to put a team back in, and I love live drafts. So, if I can stay/get back in, that would be great. However, I realize you may have asked and gotten a committment from my replacement. If that is so, no problem whatsoever. Hey, you snooze, you lose, right? :) Anyway, let me know.

I don't know what his reasons were for not playing again. Might be worth a check with him. I don't see many postings from him. Is he playing much at all anywhere?

That makes 12. All this in-and-out sorta messed things up a bit. However, my one invite so far turned down the league, couldn't do a live draft. I would make this proposal, since I'm the double powered commish here, and don't feel like being a hardlined Grinch this time of year. Bobby was the low win man, but Bobby is Bobby, and if anyone deserves a nice little Christmas gift, it's Bobby. I would like to bend the rules this one time and invite Bobby.

We will get started again the first week of January with a 16 round live draft, standard rules:

-80m cap, no DH
-3 hour pick limit
-clock runs 9am EST to 11pm EST, Monday-Friday
-we'll draft 15 players and one unique stadium

The draft order will be determined using the first evening lottery draw in January, I'm not sure if they do a lottery drawing on the 1st or if we'll have to wait until the 2nd, but we'll determine that when we do. We will then have an autodraft with waivers to fill out the teams. There will be no requirements on filling positions with the live draft.

What say ye?

As I said in an earlier post that if you need a player then I would always help out. I think a lot of you know me well enough that my biggest reservation to continue is that I was eliminated by the rules of the theme. That really makes me feel uncomfortable to continue. Since you're not beginning until January 16th then can you at least continue the search for a willing manager and have me listed as an alternate. You can count on me to begin the league on the schedule date but with other recent managers being eliminated by the rules of the theme I feel awkward to participate here.....Your kindness is very much appreciated. I wish all of you and your families a happy and safe holiday season....Bobby

Well, mathematically, I should never have made the playoffs anyway, so the whole season ought to be tossed out the window... :wink:
