first of all......don't get "fillers".... with those relievers the fillers are going to lose you a bunch of games. Dizzy Dean...OK.....Winter might be ok ... forget ruffing and osteen and John...replace them

fair enough....but it wasn't clear this was post draft and no moves had been made....also I didn't have a team link and really couldn't be more specific...... keep in mind here that whatever I say will almost surely be critized by someone ...we all have our favorites. I will say a couple things about the pitchers ....then I will look at the FA's and give you a couple of ideas.... they will be MY ideas and not necessarily the BEST ones, since there are many ways to win and many many managers here better then me at this sort of thing....

Ruffing tends to underperform his card especially in a hitting park... while your park is neutral.... you have 2 parks that are hitters parks ....shibe abd veterans. Generally I see uniformally poor appearances from Osteen and John would be better in a pure pitchers park. McMahon is only really good for a closing role and should only really be used in the 9th.....that leaves Guisti covering the rest of the innings....not good.

I also looked at your team now in the provided link.... KEEP Schoffner, Russell is marginal. I wouldn't keep Hodges, campenaris or coleman either...

I will look at your FA options and psot again

Its a SHAME you didn't drop Hodges as one of your 2 drops.... depending on WHERE you are in the waiver list Musial would have been my FIRST waiver pick..... its likely since you only have a small amount of cash that you got most of your picks and so are way down the list .... this will leave you out of the running for Musial-Yount-Banks-Snider and of which would be a plus on your team.... there are tons of pitchers I would use before the ones you have ...and if you are going with 4 * guys you do NOT want someone like winter eating up salary and not pitching. NOW...if you want to keep the same amount in pitching.... thats roughly 20M to spend on 3 guys .... I might go for one of the big dogs if i was going this route... Pfiester -Cicotte-Camnitz........or 2 mid guys .... Pollet-grove-mullin-mogridge.......make that 5th starter someone like vance or faber.

All kinds of releivers to pick from too.... fryman-lefferts-eastwick-wyatt-dayley

so many options... Gehringer would be a nice pick at 2B over Cash...almsot anyone is a better pick then cash.

I like hitting....so I would probably try and grab at least ONE of those great hitters....not the real expensive guys like Gerhig....but speaker yount banks snider gehringer musial-ripper...... you need a lead off guy so Gehringer would be great if you are down the lsit a ways.... and maybe then go for a good pitcher ....go cheaper with other 2.

Osteen and Ruffing have done OK for me. Actually Osteen has done better than OK. They are generally unpopular and fairly rarely used. And frankly there probably are better predraft choices out there. But perhaps not in your current position. I do think that they are both very well suited to a neutral park, however. Just the right amount of ballpark homerun chances. I would take a serious look at Bruce Hurst for your fourth starter. He's usually available and has done well for me. Same with Key, although he is less likely to still be available. I would just check out the other three teams in your division before springing for these guys, to see how lefties fare against them.

Rob does know what he is talking about but he is also giving you what is basically the majority opinion of ATG managers. I've made my bones, so to speak, in this game by going against popular wisdom. But just know that the advice I have given you here is probably not shared by most managers.

Whatever you do keep Dean. I think he is one of the few pitchers that is seriously undervalued by TSN.

Try and get Lefferts and Wyatt (I just read Rob's last post). That will really help your pen which right now needs the help.

Here's an Osteen link: He didn't seem to hurt me too much here.

I feel the osteen season listed above may be a little misleading....thats in Oakland not yankee39 ...

I didn't say osteen as no good....I said I seen many bad performances by him....mostly when he was used in the wrong park/divison...but still. I have seen some impressive T John seasons too
