Injury Charts

Injury Charts

Postby albert2b » Wed Dec 21, 2005 3:24 pm

Could someone post a link or paste the injury charts TSN uses in it's Stratomatic games. I've seen it before, but don't remember where I saw it. If I remember correctly, guys with 600 PAs or more cannot be injured for more than 3 games at a time. But it's the guys with LESS than 600 PAs that can get the big injuries up to 15 games. I'm curious to see the breakdown of these guys' chances of getting injured. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't post a link, because Strat shut down the only site I knew of that had the charts online...

BUT

I can copy the chart for you by hand

1 = OK
2= OK
3= REM
4=REM
5=1
6=1
7=1
8=1
9=2
10=2
11=2
12=3
13=3
14=4*
15=5*
16=6*
17=7*
18=8*
19=10*
20=15*

OK = Player not injured
REM= Remainder of game
*= If players PA's (AB's + BB's in Strat) is MORE than 600 then the player is injured REM + 3 instead of indicated number

I still think the 15 gamer comes up WAY to ofetn to be a 1-20 chance.

What are the chances of someone being injured for the whole season? I noticed several players on the free agent list with a red "I" next to their name that other teams dropped.

They are not injured for the whole season. It just means when they were dropped, they had an injury. Unfortunatley Injury time is only 'Active time" so if you picked them up they would have to finish out whatever length of injury is left when they were dropped.

EG Team A drops Larry Walker after a series in which he is hurt for 15 games in the first game of the series. This means he has 13 games of injury time left. If team B pikc s him up he will still have to wait 13 games before Larry comes off the DL.

Hope this helps.

I happen to agree on the 15 gamer. Had Mabry on one team, went down for 15 games, came back, had 2 ab's and went down for 15 games again. I'm not a mathmatician, but I'm guessing the odds of this happening is slightly worse than hitting the Power Ball lottery. This same team lost Kennedy for guess what, 15 games, and Lilly for hey, how odd, 15 games!!

One of these days, when bored, I'm going to research a league's injuries and calculate each non 600 PA's injury time.

Yeah, but how do you know how many more games he will be out before attempting to pick him up?

Click on his name to bring up his card. It should list how many games he has left to miss on the card.
