Ok, so he's actually 67 points over his average. Given the quality of the pitching in this league it's the equivalent of 100 points. ;)

Would you really expect that just by playing in Coors? Is it to be expected? I'm not complaining, just trying to educate myself here.

As for the trade. What if the trade would actually improve the last place team, but gain cap room for the first place team?

JG. Sent you a note.

Your moves usually work out, JG, but sometimes you're gonna get burned. I sent you an email on your reply.

OOOOOOOOOOH That was earth shattering

Seriously though, Happy holidays to all of you and yours, may the New Year bring Peace and Prosperity to all of you. And may it also bring Semper home.

Yeah, not a huge trade for us, but it *did* allow us to repick up Davanon who we need since losing Bigbie for 15 games. Smoltz pretty much stunk it up for us although he did manage to get 18 saves.

As for Semper, email to his military address (at least the one I have) bounces. Email to his EY account doesn't bounce but does not elicit a response.

The good news is I checked the list of KIA and didn't find his name listed. So I'm guessing either he is back and just too busy to reply (not all that likely), he's moved to a new post and, therefore, a different email address. Hopefully the move wasn't one forced by some type of inury. :(

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Merry Xmas to everyone as well!

JTJ/WM - Yes, I expect good production from Ward in hitter park divs. I have seen similar stuff to this plenty of times in '05. Also, note his excellent split vs LHP. He has no BP HR there but nice XBH, N power, and enough hits to be dangerous vs. severe reverse LHP, so occasionally I play him vs LH....

However, whatever I am getting from Ward is more than balanced by the horrible season from Beltran. In sims Beltran hit 45-60 HRs with around .280/.360/.580, so I am well below that now....

Much better...

It appears I may avoid losing 100 games, which at the season's mid-point it looked like losing 100 would be inevitable. Still not a 500 record in the 2nd half, but much more respectable:

1st Half: 26-55
2nd Half: 29-34

And of course, Merry Christmas everyone!
