I have some questions about the details of how this works. Tell me if this is correct.
Say the Cardinals are one of my teams. I do not draft David Eckstein, and I don't put him on my roster all year. This means no other team can have take him at any point. Correct?
Then if I pick up Eckstein later in the year because my Shortstop has an injury, and I then release Eckstein once my SS is healthy, then Eckstein is available for all teams to pick up for 3 days, then only I can pick him up again. Correct?
And if I drafted Eckstein and before the season started I released him, then other teams would have 3 days to pick him up, and then again only I could pick him up. Correct?
And if I trade Eckstein, or if somebody picks him up after I drop him, and then they release him, he is available for 3 days, but then again becomes my exclusive property, is this right?

Also, can we trade players on our "farm" team (players from one of our two teams who are not on our 25 person roster)? If this decision has not been made yet, I vote for yes.

you got me a little confused but yes you can trade players on your
"farm team"
also once the season starts and you release a player everyone else has 3 days to claim him but must put him on their roster.after the 3 days he is your property and only yours

rgimbel is the prof. emeritus and correct on all matters.

litangel: If you draft the Cards, Eckstein is yours. You may trade his rights at any point. If you do not draft Eckstein and don't put him on your roster nobody else may use him at any point, correct.

If you pick up Eck later in the year then release him once your SS is healthy, then Eck is available to all teams for three days, then reverts back to you. You are correct.

You may trade any player carded to your team, or that you draft in the expansion.

FYI: Lotto will be low to high.

divisions will be based on total roster size after the two additional rounds
4 teams with largest rosters in east
4 teams with smallest in west
