Bobby,
Orthopedics is the carpentry of the medical profession. Just remember the old carpentry motto, "Measure twice, cut once".

Doing surgery on the wrong part of the body happens, but it is rare because patients get checked over and over and then some. You would have been asked a few more times if you were in a teaching hospital with med students, interns and residents. I would be nervous if I was [i:f1d648c6b2]not[/i:f1d648c6b2] asked about my procedure multiple times.

By the way, one of my patients once marked [i:f1d648c6b2]herself[/i:f1d648c6b2] with the marking pen before going for surgery. The surgeon thought it was pretty funny.

Get well my friend.

I had rotator cuff surgery myself. I wrote yes and no on the appropriate shoulders, and then "NO!!!" on my stomach, with an arrow pointing down to what we in medicine call the groinal region.

You'd be more likely to get cut in the "groinal region" at a divorce lawyer's office than an O.R. That would [i:83730e67c2]not[/i:83730e67c2] be considered an accident in that environment.

Unfortunately, I have first hand experience with that sort of thing, although I always thought that the injury was farther posterior in the perineum.
