oks how do we fill out the draft card. '84 Cubs have 22 men on roster without the optional players. Do I leave some of the '84 Cubs off my 25 man roster? Do I leave other blanks to go for 1.99 players in AD. Or can the 1.99 players only be picked up in waivers and FA?

Scott Sanderson pitched for the '84 Cubs. Do I get to add him as well?

I think you add all 22 players for sure. Then any special rules players that no one has access to. i.e Scott Sanderson... then the under 1.99 free agents.

Thats my take on the whole deal!!!

I can't put all 22 Cubs on my draft card. I put all 10 pitchers, was working on adding the 12 hitters plus Hebner, Cey, Bowa. Went to add Tom Veryzer and got the following message:

You must spend at least $60,000,000

1984 Chicago Cubs +
Player Set: Default (change set)
Total Salary Cap: 80,000,000 (change cap)
Cash Remaining: 24,760,000
You've Spent: 55,240,000
Players You Still Need: 1
Average You can spend: 24,760,000

So, what do I do now? And yes I am planning on adding Eck, Sanderson, Johnstone in waivers.

So because I have 26 1986 Yankees, I can only add 2 players?

I will need to add others and eliminate some .50 to get a legal roster.

I'd like to get an ammendment on this rule to get a legal roster over the 60m cap. As of now, my draft card is boofed like the 84 cubs as well.

I THINK

what ever it takes to get IN the league - why not use Ted Williams? As long as the rosters are "LEGAL" when the league starts - there are alot of players you can use to join - as long as they are dropped before the season starts!! - JMO - Tom.

(any rule change will require a NEW draft - IMO).

ME THINK

Postby BOBBYTHOMPSON » Fri Sep 21, 2007 9:44 pm

Since no one else can take Eck, he could be added to the Cubs.

Same way with R. Henderson and Guidry, Sykes could put them on his team as long as he has all 26 orignal player's after waviers.

Just my thoughts...

I can remove a 50 cent pitcher, replace him with Eck and that would yield a draft card that TSN accepts. After the draft I then add that pitcher, plus Sanderson, and Johnstone (or a 1.99 FA?) to put roster at 28 players and no lefty reliefer?

Wow just looked up the 84 Cubs roster and they really had no lefty reliefer. They did have Billy Hatcher (86 Astros) but his salary is less than 1.99 So is Bill Buckner (86 Red Sox) Hmm they also have Hassey and Lake (wouldn't mind adding him). Also had Davy Lopes whose salary is above 1.99 at 2.94
Here is the link to the 84 Cubs roster:

They only had 1 player younger than me.
