Double Ouch for the Aholics as K ROD blows two saves in a row! BLV - good idea but I think we will keep just one league thread for ease of use and maximum participation from all managers. J Law

OCT 31 - "B.Y.O.B. NIGHTLY HIGHLIGHTLY"

Jermaine Dye had 4 hits and 8 RBI's with 2 homeruns and Kenny Rogers tossed a complete game as the New Mexico Scorpions beat the Fastball Fiends by a score of 14 to 6. Dye really 'lit it up' for New Mexico. He clubbed a three-run home run in the 1st inning, hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his teammates (his 4th of the season) in the 2nd inning, lined a single bringing in a run in the 3rd inning and delivered a base-hit in the 6th inning. Scorps manager Terry said, "I can't believe Dye was available in the autodraft. He has an awesome card this year and makes me look like a genius!"

Another Crack at the Space Cadets

Postby Jack377 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 11:33 am

We're without Chipper Jones for the first two games (he'll be replaced by spark plug Macier Izturis) but we're at home this time and hope to score more than 1 run in the series!

Interesting stat: Morneau is hitting .333 with 12 hits but has scored only 1 run and driven in only 1 run. Here's hoping he hits a couple out tonight!

[quote:d6c0315dd2="old__toriihunter"]My two expensive ($7.08 combined) relievers stats: 3 2/3 IP, 3 ER's
My three cheapies ($2.74 combined) relievers stats: 14 1/3 IP, 3 ER's

The issue is that my games haven't been very close (either way), so Street and Shields have rarely been used.[/quote:d6c0315dd2]

And you questioned me going with three $2-2.5 mil bullpen guys...
