1986: Take Two

Maybe because there are more fans of the Red Sox and Mets than the Twins?

Hoping for a Phils - Orioles series!

Postby SteadyEddie33 » Tue Nov 06, 2007 7:12 pm

Von Hayes & Schmidtty will carry the Phils to a surprise win in the NL East...

Eddie and Cal will overtake the Sawx to set up a 1983 rematch... Go Doug!!!

How are you going to handle players with split card or split seasons???

Case in point, Steve Carlton starts the season with the Phillies but is with the Giants by mid-season and finishes with the White Sox.

Will it be like an "as-played" where the player switches teams in accordance with the "real-life" transaction??

1986 league

Postby JAMESBEESON » Mon Nov 12, 2007 7:35 pm

Any chance that us rank and filers could participate in similar leagues? I think it would great. I understand that some teams in some years would be a hard sell, but i would be willing to pay for a "random draw". I think it would very interesting, maybe some credits could be won for things other than winning the title, for example leading the last place team of the year that is being played to a 2nd place finish, things like that. :?:

Thank god for Glanny and his blogs. I just love the look backs that he gives us. If it weren't for his blogs, I'd never click on the '86 link.

Maybe if both the "celebrities" and us Strat die-hards who [u:89e050c029]actually pay to play [/u:89e050c029]had the opportunity to play, we would be more interested.
