Missing Persons/Please Help

Postby Jeepdriver » Sun Nov 04, 2007 9:50 am

I'd like the SOM community's help on this. Local Police, FBI, ATF, no one has been able to find the [b:dea21a683e]Nebraska defense[/b:dea21a683e]. Anyone having any information to share, even if you think it's minor, please call the Task Force hotline at 1-800-dead red. Thanks. 8-)

Ouch. That's a kick in the nuts right there!

Anyone looking for a coach with NFL and college experience? Specialist in the West Coast Offense? Comes with close personal friend who couldn't design a defense to stop an 8th grade girls flag football team?

5 games giving up 40 or more. Unfortunately the +40 is 76!!!

Average recruiting class rank over the past 4 years - Nebraska #5, Kansas #38. And we are nowhere close to them.

Since there are so many teams moving from D2 to D1 maybe there's a spot for us in D2.

Stoney, just kidding around, but Big Red will be back. Almost every program goes thru a year or two like this now with the limited scholarships.

It's been a wacky year in College Football to say the least.

Bill Callahan...

Couldn't win in the NFL.

So...

What does Nebraska do? Hire him.

What is to be expected?

Yeah Vis, that was a bad situation. Dumbass AD thought everything he touched would turn into gold so he fired Solich (which was a good decision) without a backup plan.

He thought we could get Wannstadt (bad choice), then went for Houston Nutt (played us and not a good coach) so he settled for Callahan. The only "name" coach who was unemployed at the time.

I only wish the Big Red were on the Sooners schedule this year. Whats up with that anyway. One of the biggest rivals of all times is not even a game every year.

That really suxs.

I believe that Turner Gill will be the next head coach at Nebraska. He has turned around a dead program at the University of Buffalo. They may win the MAC conference this year. That program was one of the worst in college football before he arrived. Most people didn't even know that Buffalo had a division I college team. I have heard him interviewed and he was a winner when he played at Nebraska and he would be a winner as a coach there if he is given the opportunity.

Hawk, losing to Navy, a team the Irish had beaten 43 years in a row has to be the low-point of all time I would think.

With Pete Carroll being the exception, maybe Dennis Erickson, Pro coaches just doesn't seem to have the same successes in College ball. It's a whole different animal.

If I was an AD I'd stay away from pro coaches, period.
