What's your Favorite non-online Strat card ever???

Dave Valle, the year he hit .340 and slugged .679. I think it was 85 or 86. The TBA allowed his card in tournaments that year (he only had about 55 at bats) and he was pretty much an automatic first pick.

The 61 Clemente card. This was released as an advanced season in the early 80's I think. He hit over .350 and was a 1 (-6) in right field. That was the only -6 arm I've ever seen in Strat.

I liked Guidry's 78 card too. The team he was on had my best season ever: 122 wins. I had an outfield of Rice, Hisle and Thomas with Stargell at 1st and Nettles at 3rd. Sundberg (-4) arm was my catcher. JR Richard was my #2 starter. I liked him almost as much as Guidry.

The 1930 Bill Terry card - .401 average, 23 HR, and his injury on the 12 roll (where it should be!).

Funny how some positions change with time. Today the glamor spot is SS with all the great ss around now. Back in the day, 1964 it was a great year for third base. Ron Santo, Brooks Robinson, Clete Boyer, Richie Allen all had awesome cards. I remember Ken Boyer, had 24 Hr's but only on a 1-7 roll, HR 1-17, Triple 18-20. Santo had 3-4 and 3-5 HOMERUN, and Richie Allen had 3-4 HOMERUN 3-5 HR 1-19 etc. Brooks was similar. I always picked Ken Boyer when I was playing and wouldn't you know it the 1-7 came up all the time!!! Teaching a very young SOM pup about the "major" numbers!! His card produced all the time. I still pick him in ATG and he still produces!! Just great for your 4-5th best hitter!!

Ken Griffey Sr. 1990, I think. Seattle card, he hit .377 and absolutely destroyed righty pitching. There was also a guy named Jose Oliva, '86 or '90...can't remember, but he was a shoe in for 50+ doubles and 50+ dingers.

Many others...

Ramon Martinez
Frank Tanana
Hal Morris
Chris Sabo
Larry Anderson
Eric Davis
Rob Dibble

Obvious Reds fan here!

I think your talking about Heinie Schuble of the 1934 Tigers. He had 15 at bats and had 2 doubles. Ahhh the glory of the old original basic cards!!!!!
