OK, now that the most expensive hitter & pitcher are off the board, it can really get interesting.

This is fun, I have no clue...

If anyone needs help with the draft site, setting proxies, etc. Just let us know. There are plenty of experienced managers here...

Is there a timed clock on these picks? If so, what is the time and what happens if an owner misses his turn?

Can the time be expanded until everyone realizes that the draft is running? Does the clock stop overnight or on weekends?

Just curious!!

Thanks!

I just did expand the clock (which will not take effect until the next pick is made). It's standard practice to ignore the clock in the first round anyway. As the draft originator, JLaw should decide the clock length.

The clock, I believe, does not automatically adjust for evenings and weekends. It's more a gentlemen's agreement we make to determine when the clock is "on" and when it's not.

WOW! We filled quicker than I expected. Nice work on the draft site Agabriel. I don't care about the time limit. Whatever you think is good. But I do care about leaving proxies!!!! If you are going to be away from access to the draft for several hours, leave some proxy picks!! It gets very frustrating for everyone if the draft stalls! My only other request is let's try to use a 69 theme for our team names. I usually go with a song title (Moonlight Drive, Day Trippers, Space Cowboy - or movie titles - Easy Riders, True Grit, etc ...) Let's post names here, some may have already set-up a team so disregard.

1 HFSMART
2 MUNICHMAN
3 RISDEN
4 ORLANDOYANKEES
5 JOHNLAW - MIDNIGHT COWBOY - MGR - Jon Voight
6 PILLPOP
7 CF17
8 JEIGENAUER
9 BUSTERJRATT
10 UGRANT
11 ADRIAN
12 FRANKY35

As for the time limit, standard is no clock in the first round, 3 hours after that. Proxies are DEFINITELY encouraged, as is communication. Let people know if you expect to be gone for a substantial amount of time. Clocks usually OFF on the weekends.

The proxy system on the site is very flexible and powerful. "Round 0" means your picks will execute in any round. You can set round-specific proxies as well, and use the "Group" function very easily to hone your proxy picks. The "Delete if Group picked" function is also veery useful.
