Dawson or G.Thomas in Fenway '67?

Postby MICHAELTARBELL » Fri Dec 30, 2005 10:32 pm

Have the following team in Fenway '67...have another fenway, a yankee, and ebbetts in division...

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=97871

I know...i could use another left handed bat...working on that!

Trying to decide whether to keep Dawson or go with Gorman Thomas. I have 7 lefties and 9 righties in division...thoughts??

thanks! :)

Link didn't work, but I'd go with Thomas.

Sorry tkl...still have a hard time figuring out how to get those darn things to work when you want to put a name in there.... :? Try it now!

I am leaning that way also...

:)

I'd probably drop Buckner and Espisito for a couple more OF:

Shuba, Rivera, French, Jose, Armas....A few good .50'ers for Fenway

In your park you want as many ball park HRs as possible. Thomas.

Not nearly enough lefties to use Dawson, Thomas is a stud believe it or not, it also took me some time to be comfortable with him to the point where I even have him hitting #2 for some of my hitters' parks teams...

you are actually the reason i even considered him pbtr...i have seen him do so well for you!

When crunching the numbers, and considering fenway's effect on bphr's..Gorman seems to be a "no brainer" as stated above

Dawson
vs rh - 2 hr chances
vs lh - 14 hr chances

Thomas
vs rh - 15 hr chances
vs lh - 15 hr chances

So went with Thomas...thanks guys! And thanks tkl33, will make moves suggested.... :)

Anything else?? Do i need another LH bat? not much out there right now, but i continue to look

Yes, for cripes sakes, trade Staley, Reuther and Speer for Frock, Faber and Tincup ASAP!
