1969 LIVE DRAFT 100 MIL DH LEAGUE - LEAGUE CHAT

Our historical single season sets

Next Draft

A friend and I would both love to do another draft... probably closer to when out league is winding down here. Now that I know the ropes, I can help him with the mechanics a little. We're both interested in 1969, but do not know the ATGs well enough to draft just yet.

Guys

I would like to put together an email contact list of people interested in doing this again (since I RARELY visit the forums/ message boards). Please email me at my yahoo address, which is jeigenauer, if interested.

Thanks

The 100 mil cap doesn't leave much to choose from. Some random thoughts ...

BEST TEAM NAME - burnt weeniesandwich

BEST MANAGER NAME - Analysis Paralysis Manager: Jacque Itch

BEST STARTING P - Midnight Special

MOST CASH AVAILABLE - burnt weeniesandwich ($11,130,000)

On the eve of the new season, best wishes to all. I think rather than moving the league chat to the individual league section, I will keep it here. There is so little new posting for 1969, we will leave it here.

NOV 19 - "1969 VIRGINS NIGHTLY HIGHTLIGHTLY"

On opening night, Sam McDowell shut down the Yankee batters on just 1 hit as the Midnight Special outscored the Yankee Air Pirates 4 to 0. McDowell (1-0) was virtually untouchable. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 1 hit and 3 walks in 9 innings. Special manager, Wolfman Jack, said, "It was an awesome performance by Sam. There were some rumblings when we opened the checkbook to sign Sam this year, but that type of outing justifies his status as a top dollar pitcher in this league!"
