Has Anyone Tried this Technique for Starters?

Has Anyone Tried this Technique for Starters?

Hi. I got screwed in the draft for SPs with this team:

So far, my starters have been okay, but I just lost two games due to my weak middle relief. I'm paying the price for trying to be clever. A Brendan Donnelly or Mike Adams is what I should have (neither are available).

Garcia (E), Wise (3L), and Wright (2R), actually have okay OB/TB numbers, with few natural HRs. I'm in Safeco, where I will put N. Robertson (5L) and Pettitte (9R) together vs other teams from the left side.

My question is this: Has anyone ever taken a staff and set some of their AVG to above AVG SPs, and set them to "slow hook" and "max 6 IPs"?

My thought is, that some games these guys will get spanked, sometimes they will pitch well depending on luck, ballpark, and matchups (which I wil of course attempt to maximize). I will lose these games. If I can get 6 IPs out of them, let my five man specialists bullpen cover the 7th if the losers can somehow manage, then let Armando Benitez pitch the 8th & 9th.

Thoughts on this strategy please. Please help.

Maybe this is the direct link for "Chin Music":

Anyone that is in my starting rotation that has a value of 3 million+ is set to slow hook without max inning limitations because in my opinion, they should go the distance if they are having a great game.
Below that value, depends on the pitcher's card .

I only use "Max 6 IP" when I'm using starters who really suck and I've got some very strong arms in the pen. Benitez is the only really great RP you've got, so I'd be looking to get my starters to crank out some innings.

You should be looking to get NO FEWER than 150 IP from Benitez and maybe more. Overall, I really like the team - good starters and Robertson allows you to protect Pettitte against leftly-heavy teams.

As for the lineup, you've got a bunch of my favorite guys. I wouldn't worry about the 5-7 start, with patience, this team will be successful. :P

The thoughts are much appreciated. Especially the positive ones. I put a lot of thought into the construction of this team.
