Just want to make sure: Since I have the NY yankees of 1961 and have 2 players already at 1B do I need to take Deron Johnson from Oak 1993 since he can only play 1B?

Sarcastic Question: Since Yougi Berra played in LF for NY of 61 but cannot on his 1950 card I'd like to use his SOM rating from 1961 replay set. Also, Elston Howard played LF for years but can'ton his 1961 card. Oh my, ATG does have it;s issues.

Lets take these questions one at a time

I did not anticipate people wanting to play an $80 mill theme with teams under $60 mill. If you can pick up some one with a heavy salary (like Williams) and then drop him after the draft that is ok.

The '61 Yanks do not have to pickup Deron Johnson. They may if they like because DJ did play for the real '61 Yankees and his '64 Phillies were not drafted. Other then DJ and Yogi the '61 Yanks are limited to FA's at $1.99 or below.

Does that clear these issues up?

I think you add all 22 players for sure. Then any special rules players that no one has access to. i.e Scott Sanderson... then the under 1.99 free agents.

Dr Tax is correct. You load ALL the players that are on the SOM roster that you drafted. Then you load all the guys over $1.99 that are eligible for your team because their real SOM team was not drafted. You do not have to take these players but they are only eligible to you. Then you fill out your draft card with FA's at $1.99 or less.
During waivers you can add more of your eligible players that would not fit on your 25 man draft card and you may add more FA's at $1.99 or less.
Roster limit is 24-28 and salary cap is $80 mill.

We are just trying to field the real 12 teams that were drafted here. The SOM version plus the real life version. The true roster of the '62 Giants for instance. We needed the $1.99 rule added to help some of the lower salaried teams.

You will only be able to add 2 to your roster. If you want Guidry and Henderson go ahead and put them on your original draft card so you are over $60 and then you can add the other 3 guys that would not fit on the draft card. You will need to carry all of the 26 guys listed by SOM for the entire season just as the original rules state.

There is no need to change the rules. I posted early to clear up any confusion but questions never came up until after the draft started.

Having said all this. If Sykes and Assmeriten did not understand the rules we can let them redraft since they are 11 and 12 in the order. This will certainly not hurt anyone else in anyway.

Let me know if the two of you want to do that but let's get the east started.
