I have been trying to get Lidge or Lilly from him instead of Wagner. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

It is almost always a good deal if you end up with the best single player in a trade.

Hate to play the devil's advocate but, nope, don't do it Halo Don.

You need Buehrle more than you need Wagner!

Give up Buehrle and Vazquez or whomever to get Lilly... but Wagner's not the answer for your pen (like Lidge would be).

I usually agree with Coffee but not on this one. You have 5 *SP and need to trade one because one of them is completely dead weight on your team. Vazquez will do fine in your park. Trading Buerhle to get Wagner is a no brainer IMO.

You must trade (or drop) one of your *SP. Trading is always the preferred method if possible as you won't take a cap hit. This is a good move!

Whew--where are you batting Drew? Lots of IBBs?
Make sure he doesn't have a poor clutch righty behind him in the order or he'll keep getting walked...

In your park he's fine batting anywhere from 1st to 3rd

I wouldn't say you're facing a lot of lefties at all--1500 to 1900 righties.
Seeing a normal split of reverse matchups due to switchies and platoons.

Right now you have an effective righty lefty relief combo but they may not be optimally set--but in your park which is weak to the pitcher's side, you can't ignore the righties that any lefty is going to see; so in that sense Wagner will help because he's loads better than Kline against righties.

There are no absolute answers though. I'd agree you could use a solid low hits per IP starter. If you take Wagner, I'd say you have an expendable piece of your pen b/c you need to make sure you get your money's worth out of him.

Coffee, I had made this offer but it was declined w/o any comments.

You give up: Podsednik, Scott (580,000), Vazquez, Javier (1,590,000), Buehrle, Mark (3,440,000)
Other team gives up: Payton, Jay (930,000), Lilly, Ted (4,520,000)

There counter offer was.
You give up: Perez, Neifi (1,050,000), Snow, J.T. (5,990,000)
Other team gives up: Hudson, Orlando (4,110,000),Franco, Julio (2,930,000)

I declined and then his next offer is the one I already posted. Do any of you see Orlando Hudson as an improvement on my team?
