Nope, just say "Confirmed" that's all that's needed.

Hope everyone had a pleasant holiday - good luck as we head down to the wire. Sorry about not making an announcement that active rosters could be increased to 28. Some of you did make the additions, but I think most of us, including me, let the opportunity slip by. It shouldn't matter for me, since 3 extra guys wouldn't do much for my underachievers.

Anyhow, let the pennant drive begin! :)

Or pennant "coast", as the case may be!

Not sure that I have had a division locked up before at gm 144...see if my 105-win prediction holds or not now....and hope that Niner's prediction of getting knocked off by the WC does not! :P

Qk, you really should be careful about all this talk of inevitablity. The playoffs await...

Of course, in the case of the Gorillas, all we can say is that "we shoulda won a lot more games...."

Timetable for upcoming events

Postby kaviksdad » Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:53 am

[b:7c4b498837]Timetable for upcoming events[/b:7c4b498837]

Now that the season is ending and the playoffs get underway, I'll lay out the timetable for upcoming events:

1) Divisional assignments for season 1 of the 2008 year, and draft order of the spring free agent draft will be laid out this weekend. Cumulative records of all seasons played determine each year's initial season's divisional assignment and free agent draft order. Any ties will be broken by head to head records (because there is no difference now between the yearly and cumulative head to head records, any tie not broken by head to head records will then go to a random number generator - with the lowest number getting the higher draft pick. I will take care of this, except if I am involved in a tie that can't be broken by head to head matchup. In this case, Qksilver will oversee the number generation). If anyone has objections to this speak up now.
2) Hot Stove time - from now until early 2008 all managers are encouraged to discuss trades - player and stadium. All trades are subject to roster rules and must be posted on this thread.
3) Owners meetings - The month of December will be used to discuss any rule changes. All rule changes must pass by super majority. Possible rule changes include a) stadium drafts; b) expansion (now that it will be possible to create leagues larger than 12 players - scheduled to take place in 2008); etc.
[b:7c4b498837]We will also vote on whether to play 2 or 3 seasons in 2008[/b:7c4b498837]. All owners must be in favor of playing 3 seasons per year for it to occur.
4) Player drops/Prospect promotions - All player drops and prospect promotions must be complete by no later than 1 week after the 2008 SOM cards are released. Bernie mentioned that this may occur earlier than in previous years.
5) Annual spring free agent draft - the annual spring free agent draft is scheduled to begin immediately after all drops/promotions have been finalized. The draft should begin no later than 2 weeks after the 2008 cards are released. All managers must drop a minimum of 10, and no more than 15 players. We will do the draft on the board thread.

Any questions? Comments?

And thanks to KD for putting the league together!

I thought I'd repost these for sh*ts & giggles...

12-6 with ZERO dingers from either Hafner or Thome in 138 combined PAs.

I think the odds against those rolls are pretty substantial...looking fwd to seeing what this team can do when they start hitting...

105 wins = swept by the Wildcard in round 1.  [/quote:2e292a008c]

Let's see who is really psychic...too funny that a) I [b:2e292a008c]did[/b:2e292a008c] win exactly 105 games AND b) that is Niners my WC opponent. Excellent!
