Breezing through the regular season...
Winning 101 games...
Hitting 310 homeruns...
4.05 ERA w/ 1.37 WHIP in US Cell...
Heilman w/ 295 IP and a 2.83 ERA / 1.17 WHIP
Great seasons from Kazmir, Bautista, Clark and Bay...
A 200+ RS/RA differential...

Losing in the semis to a 86 win team...PRICELESS.

100 wins are the kiss of death. I have had six 100+ win teams. Five lost in the 1st round (including 1 last night). Four of those were swept. The sixth team, miraculously won their finals. I feel your pain.........

Socal,

Don't we all grow old, regress to the mean and then become snail food?

Same here recently; 102 wins, over 1000 runs scored, +220 RD, and lost to an 85 win team in the first round. And worst of all - I knew it was going to happen......

Have 5 teams in the playoffs. My 100 win team was the only one of the 5 not to make the finals. Also, since I only have 8 championship teams out of 134 tries, you can see how unlikely it is that 4 out of 5 made the finals. .

I am just thankful only 1 of those 5 teams won more than 100 games  .

I did a quicky study of the top players in the league and it appears that you win the playoffs roughly 25% of the times you make it there. I think it was a little bit often for the top players in ATG3.

Repeat after me.... It's a dice game, it's a dice game.....

Yeah, but it feels good to publicly whine about it.

Mike,
I have been taking your advice...with a few grains of salt.

Then I usually go opposite way of what you say.

I see your point now though. Take your advice and not worry about winning. hmmmm...

Lemme mull it over a bit.
