Is there any interest in an 80s auction league?

No hard feelings, Big

There have been a few bargains, though. And obviously, the N hitting 1-Def SS are still going up, huge premiums on them.

As far as Oakland #24, I think he is just about at fair value now, of course that's just my opinion. In the 80s, he probably could have hit third in just about every other team's line-up.

G. Carter was a steal too.

Phelps at his bargain basement price was a steal.

Clemens - I personally think another 1-2 million was about right.

Penn,

how are trades handled during the regular season? Do they still have to make sense within the 180 mill auction cap? And do they need to be put out for veto opportunity by other teams, or can they just be done within the league transactions?

BJ, sorry about that last minute Gwynn bid --- I didn't realize he was about to expire ... not that I would have changed my mind, but I feel bad because you're usually a pretty nice guy  .... even if you are a Cubbies fan

trading is allowed and is independant of the cap, meaning you can go over the 180 mil cap with a trade. You must get that trade done on the auction site in the end so we know the cap situation and who owns what players.

UglyJerry, you do not need to open players if you have 25+ bids already.

P.S. It is also frowned upon to drop a player you have won in auction after the draft has been completed and then try to bid on that player again in hopes of trying to get him cheaper.

The software actually shouldnt allow it but there might be a bug that it does allow you to rebid on a player you dropped.
