I want to move Dave Rozema out of my starting rotation into my bullpen for awhile.
Will checking off avoid using before the 6th inning give HAL enough information to use him in the pen?
I've noticed that it seems hit and miss, sometimes HAL will use SP/RPs in both roles, but more often it seems that SP/RPs end up not being used unless you start them..

You can control who starts for you by setting up your ROTATION setting or your PER GAME STARTERS. It is harder to control who might come in to RP but you can set your individual settings to limit this.

Actually, he was in my rotation and I'm trying to improve my pen.
With nothing really interesting in terms of RPs, I've picked up Luis Leal to start some games and am trying to find a way to show HAL that Rozema is not an inactive starter, that I want him coming out of the pen.
So I checked off the do not use before the 6th inning box.
By my reckoning, he should be no worse than the third guy out of the pen, behind Agosta and Campbell who are pitching well, and ahead of Guetterman, my lefty specialist, and Nunez.
