NLD 12

Postby Wineman » Tue Jan 03, 2006 12:01 pm

Semper - It's great to have you back in the NLD and in one piece. Don't worry about the Indians, they're all yours! :D

Niners - Are we going to do another NLD 2005? If so, we'll need to discuss how we can get Semper a team.

Time warp?

Postby Semper Gumby » Tue Jan 03, 2006 2:10 pm

Whatever happened to the Karma points?

Goodness, I'm a TSN "veteran" and TSN didn't even require me to produce my DD214 et al or fax my pictures of my tattoos to prove it.

Hell, I had to do that much just to get my application form from the local VFW and American Legion posts.

Well I was going to say that Ninersphan had overlooked my vote for another go-around in 2005, but then I realized that Semper Gumby has returned. :)

Glad to see SG is alright & ready to play in NLD again. I therefore hereby return his rightful spot in NLD back to him. :)

Hopefully you guys will consider me for a permanent spot the next time one comes around. Also, if the majority of owners want to play another 2005 round, but someone(s) don't want to, but DO want to keep their spot, I am quite willing to keep their seat warm. :)

Anyways its been a lot of fun, and you can all reach me at arryl@hotmail.com if need be. I'll continue to check in to see how NLD is going every once in a while. :)

2006 Consideration

Postby Semper Gumby » Tue Jan 03, 2006 3:51 pm

Gents,

Having just returned from Fallujah a handful of weeks ago, I am probably a better bet for 2006 SOM.

Despite Joe's assistance  , I am so far removed from knowing anything about the cards that it would be prudent of me to just lurk for now.

Otherwise, my current travel schedule as me on the Left Coast and the Tropical reaches for the next two months so getting my picks submitted would be very tough.

To that end, I am merely back from Iraq and lurking on the boards for insights into next year's cards.

BTW, I'll need to work on my hospitality between now and 2006 since my TSN profile says I have "no friends".

Hell, where did my "Semper Gumby" name go - did TSN sell that too?

Semp,

glad to have you back. It's still up in the air over another 2005 go around but Arryl has graciuosly bowed out for you once 2006 is a go, and don't worry Arryl you are in like Flynn if/when we have another opening.

I guess we need to put this to a series of votes. First one do we want to do another 2005. Please answer yes or no, not I'll do whatever, at least not unitl I get 7 vote one way or the other.

After that we'll decide format, cap etc.

For the record once the new cards do come out in March/April format is as follows:

Live Draft 20 rounds- 19 players Plus stadium

80mil cap/ DH/Advanced

Order determined after the playoffs of this edition of NLD

NO clock to start the first round

Penn's site in use (assuming he updates for 2006)

Okay now

I'm for another go round in 2005:

Yea 1 vote

Nay 0 Votes

Semper, welcome back! And please accept my heartfelt thanks for all of your efforts in Iraq. Glad you're safe and sound.

I am in for another 2005 draft.

So that makes it:

Yeas - 2
Nays - 0

Bulletin ID, WTF?

Postby Semper Gumby » Tue Jan 03, 2006 5:06 pm

Am I just dumb with the new TSN board IDs or do I need to resort to having a new TSN profile / acccount to keep my stage name?

For now, I'll play with this tag and see where it gets me.

I'll be glad to keep Sempers spot warm for 1 more 05 round. :) Otherwise I'll lurk til '06 comes out to see if any spots open up. ;)

Thanks for the nice comment Ninersphan. :)

BTW Semper Gumby - feel free to add me as a TSN Friend. :)

Please pardon the intrusion. There's a rumor going around that Semper Gumby is back safe and sound. I see that it's true. :D

Welcome home! A heartfelt thank you for your service.

Okay.

I just finished walking the dog (newest member of the household as the wife rescued him from death row :( ) , and am now reviewing the new upgrades in this Forum / Board.

YIKES

What did I lose to while going away:

(i) My game name (SemperGumby)

(ii) My Karma

And I am some 1,000 posts behind JamesGang and company already and I have "no friends". Of course, the death row dog thinks I am okay (or does he?).

So, I am happy to sit on the cards for the 2006 season and I can become a rotating member or a joint-owner with another owner. Otherwise, I'll likely keep my SOM participation limited to invite leagues only. No need to pick up a social disease from other rookies. :D
