Another card I liked was the 1985 Mattingly, particularly against LHP, though good all around.
1e7, could only leave the game he was playing for INJ, 10 doubles, and 8 natural HR (up to 16 total) vs. LHP, 4 natural HR and 9 total vs. RHP with 9 doubles.
Also from the 1985 set:
Ryno - 1e13 at 2B, AA steal, 1-17 run, 34 hits (out 108) vs. RHP and 35 hits vs. LHP, plus he had 3 BPHR vs. LH and 5 BPHR vs. RH
Rick Reuschel - S7/R3, no HR, 11.5 hits vs. RH, 15 vs. LH, and though minor, he was an e0 for fielding and a 6NR hitting.

Always liked the '73 Dick Dietz card (Atl) - great OB & power card!!! In fact, that '73 Braves team had great cards for Davey Johnson (40 bombs) and "Hammerin' Hank" (40+ bombs in 392 AB), not to mention Darrel Evans (41 bombs & walks). Love the offense on that team - but NO pitching or defense.

Had a good team and was only 4 people in league so Roger always waited until bases were loaded and with a few sac. flies. Plus gotta remember Very high avg. And 5 HR's in 83 ab's so against righties 1-5, 1-6 solid HR and 1-7 was at least half a HR and 3-7 was a solid triple. If by any chance bring up his name to Rocket and probably nprud but dont forget to duck after saying that name out loud.

My first time playing the board game in college was with 1974 cards (I think). After all the players researched the cards we wait anxiously for the #1 pick. Mike Schmidt? Reggie Jackson? The name "Frank Tepedino" came out and I thought I had overlooked some obscure player with a great card!! The reality? The guy drafting #1 had no clue about baseball!!!! He was an idiot!!! We had to draft for him and then we had to tell him how to set his lineups and really run the team for him, all he could do was roll the dice!! Long story but when I think of the cards I think of Frank Tepedino!!

No idea how to find the card, but I remember Jack Pierce of the '75 Tigers had a habit of clobbering homers for friend of mine in college (who occassionally shows up for SOM on-line).
