BRAG!!! First 100 win team in ATGII (and wins a ring)

Postby MICHAELEVANS » Tue Jan 03, 2006 4:59 pm

Congrats to a great competitor! I can tell you I have NEVER had a year like that from Geronimo. I believe his highest average for me was about .230. On a current team he is hitting .169 or so. Good luck on getting your next century team.

Don't look for any obligatory congratulatory statements here. Everyone knows you're just the luckiest SOB out there.

Oh, and cut it out with the alliterative team names. That's getting old.

Nice job Hack. I submit that Titles are rare, 100 teams are even harder to come by, but Titles with 100 win teams are a true rarity. You see them less often than George Bush at a National Guard reunion party.

I've been lucky enough to have 8 100+ Title teams. :)

Of course I've also had 8 100 win teams that lost in the playoffs. :(

All in the fun of 195 completed seasons.

Sorry

Postby nevdully's » Tue Jan 03, 2006 8:47 pm

 Sorry I got a little full of myself in the above post. What I meant to say was....

Congrats to an excellent owner, Hack Wilson, on a great season and team. It is something special. I watched them all year from your earlier post at a time when Geronimo was hitting .330......They were solid from start to finish so I know you had a blast watching it unfold. :D :D :D

Amazing that the Old School Rulers won 105 games twice.

Good catch Petrosian

As Petrosian correctly pointed out, I mistakenly put the Rulers in twice while leaving out my winningest team ever. 108 wins by Gang Related. :D

lol,

It took me five 100-win teams before one finally won a title. But I "only" have 75 completed seasons.

Hack, I still can't believe that season you got out of Geronimo! Can I have a bit of that magic? Nice job. 8)

Fantastic team with some incredible performances. Cesar must have been channeling D. Dimaggio, or someone similar. Congrats! (On a side note, he DID have a backup for Wagner in Chalk...not that I'd want him to see any action at SS). :)
