the above players will be the ones left off our TSN draft cards. It shouldn't matter which scrubs we pick since we will be dropping them anyway.

I already feel nervous in Memorial. Don't often play in such a bandbox. :)

After the fact, but seems like we should have stated up front that managers have to pick 25 players...and either have a frenzy or waivers to adjust teams.

If we're going to have a list of excluded players, we may as well not use Penn's site. Just my two cents. I'd like to propose that we draft 25 players in the following drafts. I've never been a big fan of the "gerryrigging" of the live draft to fit the SOM site 25 player requirement. And I especially don't think we should do it with this format. When you have one of the first picks, I think you have enough of an edge and don't need to "exclude" players like Carter and Speaker....

I disagree as well. That's the whole point of the league, to pick a whole team. If you want 25 players on your roster, fine. Pick 25, no problem. If you only want 23, then pick 23.

We actually should allow up to 28, as that is the roster limit.

In nearly 160 teams in ATGI & II I think I have used more than 23 players twice, and very rarely see others do so. During live drafts I see absolutely no reason why anyone should be forced to pick players they are not going to use, or not allowed to pick players the want to use because of a programming requirement.

Penn just hasn't gotten around to fixing the site to avoid the cap restrictions, which he plans to do. The players will be "excluded" on the draft site, so they won't show up as available. There should be no confusion and you won't have to keep track of them separately. The list is only so Sneeze/I know whom to exclude on the site.

I totally understand about the 23 and the 28...and glad to hear that Penn will be changing his site for cap restictions...However, the fact still remains that to draft a team at the TSN site you have to draft 25 players...it's a "problem" in any live draft...and until TSN changes their restrictions on drafting...I still believe that live drafts, Penn's site or no should be 25 players....with the option of frenzy-ing or waivers that TSN allows. I don't have alot of emotional investment in this point...just voiced my opinion...whichever way we go, all teams will have the same advantages or disadvantages after the 12 seasons.

speaking of weasels mr. munich man...the first double dose of deductions from my spec team of value players still lieing around by pick nine...nolan and fellow reversy marvel knepper both on your staff...and off mine. Im down to about ten players, with four more teams set to pluck, including petrosian, which means there will be NO quality players left after he picks.

When we get to submitting our teams, I plan to drop Carl Furillo and pick up three nickle fielders whose batting averages are somewhere near my golf and bowling scores. I actually gave up both of those activities when those scores intersected around 110 (yes - I'm that bad).

Why Carl? He's the only player on my team whose secure enough and knows how much I care about him and will not let this effect his performance. I'm not much of a strategist, but I do look out for the emotional well being of my players. :)

It just occurred to me that if we use waivers, we can make all of our corrections there and proceed with any additional (real) changes during the pre-season.
