Let’s plan on beginning next week, hopefully Monday. (That might be a bit optimistic.) Maybe there’ll be a little more interest now that the holidays are over. If we wind up with 7 players, we’ll just run a one division without a computer manager. Top 4 teams will make the playoffs, 1st place plays 4th place, 2nd place plays 3rd place.
I didn’t realize this, but I’ve heard that you can load version 11 in another directory. (Just put it, for example, in “cdrombbv11” directory.) Has anyone else done this? If so, maybe CPL doesn’t need to drop out.
I set up a yahoo groups. I didn’t have MoCrash’s email address, so I couldn't invite him. MoCrash, could you PM me your email address (or could someone else just invite him)?
Also, some housekeeping details, such as team names, could be taken care of in the interim. Some rules issues also need to be resolved: closer rules, injuries, etc. I definitely don’t want to use force daily injuries…that might come into play when the top teams are playing each other. I’d rather not use injuries at all; I’d rather just let actual ab’s take care of rest. (My reasoning on injuries: I’d rather have the results determined by the roster you draft, not a freak injury roll on a critical player or a primary backup. Because of the small number of players, the league should be very competitive.) Because of the small number of players, we also might not want to use HOF players this time around.
