2nd Annual Las Vegas Tournament--chat, signup list, etc...

As I have posted prior, a decision as to dates of the 2nd Annual Las Vegas Tournament will be made following my other shoulder operation. I'm expecting that procedure to happen in Feb/Mar time frame. But it's just depends on the healing process of the first operation. I'm active in PT and it has good and bad days...today's a bad one plus I have bronchitis so I'm pretty misable (and all my teams are losing...I mean all of them) I think I dropped another 125 games below .500 since the surgery. But I will come back with a vengence....lol,lol..well maybe not that intense...lol,lol... OK back to the LV tournamemt....I expect a May-June and even July time frame for this event but will start planning to book room and event dates. I did get correspondence from TSN that someone will attend and they will try to help too. That was very nice and encouraging. I will have a list of maybe several weekends to select from and then I will work on a block of rooms for the event. I will have the event in a conference room similar to the last one. The Coast Resorts( part of Boyd Corp.) just opened it's newest property called the South Coast http://www.southcoastcasino.com/index.php and it's on Las Vegas Blvd about 3 miles further south of Manday Bay which is the start of the famous Las Vegas Strip. We probably can have the event there or at The Orleans Casino (last year's site), http://www.orleanscasino.com/ will probably be available again. The room block will be at the event location to make it easier. The Orleans Casino is approximately 1/2 mile from the strip corner of MGM Grand, New York New York, Excalibur, and Tropicana....BTW the San Remo Casino (next to the Tropicana) will change to Hooters Casino very soon just an FYI..... I would like to have a small committee to help organize the event, we can get TSN involved too. Probably minimmum of 2 days and possibly 3 but I don't want the trip to be totally wrapped around ATG. The event will be more like our second day last year where the head-tohead seems so much more enjoyable. I like to encourage everyone spouse, friend etc to attend. Each day of the tournament I will have food and drinks and I promise at least one major social event..... I want everyone to have free time to enjoy the city... Here's the list and please copy and paste along the thread and keep near the top. I will start the process. As I said earlier, the event is probably May, June and even July...There is a possibilty of April too. I will try to get a few weekends to look at (needs not to be going against a major convention, sports event etc.) but I will make the final decision. Sign up if you're thinking of coming and select a property....

I have started the process of having my assistant calling our contacts at The Orleans and South Coast Casinos. I also will have her check into August/September period just in case problems exist with the mid-April thru July time frame. I know this is a wide window but Las Vegas is in a booming period beyond imagination. Infact, Boyd Corp (Coast Resorts) just announced yesterday that they will tear down (implode) the famous Stardust Hotel to be replaced by a mega resort of 5300 rooms to cost about 4 billion dollars. It's incredible what's happening here.....The signup sheet is one of interest only at this time....
