Well, if you really worry about lefties, you could always lower Mueller to Lowell....

for lineup I'd go

vs R: Giles, Ellis, Helton, Berkman, VMart, Murton, Mueller, Kotsay, Everett

vs L: Giles, Ellis, Berkman, Murton, VMart, Kotsay, Mueller, Everett, Helton

Some things I have done that worked for me at Petco

Postby fredpaii » Thu Dec 20, 2007 8:28 pm

I'd go with Capuano over Sabathia. Toot suite!

And although he's costly, Roy Halladay is golden at Petco. Zach Duke can be very good at Petco as well. Josh Beckett can be very good too.

Try to get Mariano Rivera for your Closer.

I'd cut Berkman for Michael Young as your DH.

Not that big on Helton. Too expensive. Lots of decent 1B options much cheaper.

Rather have Marcus Giles over Ellis.

Not too sure about Brian Giles. I would rather have Ichiro in RF.

And go with Kendall over VMart at Catcher. Spend the savings on Halladay or Rivera. Brian McCann is another guy to look at for catcher. Very cheap but very good too. Seriously!

Get Bubba Crosby as a backup OF. Brady Clark is someone to get as a cheaper DH option. Can be surprisingly good at Petco.

Alex Cintron is a nice infield backup.

I wouldn't use Berkman at Petco. Even if Young isn't available.

Although I've never played him, I've heard good things about Figgins at Petco. Might have to trade for him though.

Try to get Mariano Rivera. He's helped me a ton at Petco. Very consistent. Won't blow too many Saves.

Giambi might do okay for you. I'd rather have Michael Young as DH though.

Those are a few of the things that have worked for me at Petco.

dei-ink, you're looking very good! First place in two 2006 leagues I know of. 6-0 in my league. You got some horses on that Petco team.
