1969 LIVE DRAFT 80 MIL DH - LEAGUE CHAT

Our historical single season sets

Postby pkwmati » Wed Dec 19, 2007 8:18 am

I like the idea of knowing the draft order in advance.

When I signed up for this league, I went to the somdraft.com site and saw that I needed a UserID and Password, so I sent an e-mail to support. I received a reply, asking what UserID I would like. I haven't received a reply yet (over 24 hours). I also noticed that it asks to send to support if you wish to create a new league.

Couple of questions: does the entire league use the same UserID & password? If not, once I have a UserID (assuming I got what I asked for) how do I setup/establish my password.

Thanks in advance for the help.

John:

Thanks for clearly posting the rules, picking a date, etc. This is all very helpful.

Should any consideration be given to making the draft a bit longer--say 20 rounds? I know that this causes delays, but given the limited salary in a DH league, the selection of lower-cost players is very strategic.

I would prefer all 26 rounds, but I would certainly be happy with 20. I think that we have a couple of days to discuss this, if needed.

Thanks again!

John E -

I think 16 rounds leaves some value for the waivers period. By everyone selecting a unique stadium and the divisions set by draft order, all managers can check out their division opponents before filling their draft card. I love the live draft, but I also love the final tweaking of the rosters post waivers period up until opening day. Plus, I hate to ever change league rules from the original post, even slightly, unless there was an error that needs correcting. J Law

26 rounds is fun.

But I agree with the last few posts. Since the original rules specified 16 rounds, I think we should stay that way.

Come on, lotto......

I am not sure that there were any original rules since the "rules" consisted of a post... no more.

I agree with the posted numbers for the Daily Pick 3 results as reported (above) except for ILLINOIS. It should be 504, not 509.

Either way, it looks like we have our order fixed! I have the last pick, so leave something other than table scraps!!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Table Scraps

Postby JOHNEIGENAUER » Sun Dec 23, 2007 2:40 am

Bob

I am sure that you will get plenty with the 12th and 13th. I have drafted against you twice now and you are a very savvy drafter! I'll bet you're licking your chops over those table scraps!
