Any numbers on George Scott??

Missed out on Cepeda for a Fenwya 67 team. Saved a little more to get a better bullpen and downgraded McCovey to Geroge Scott. The numbers from diamonddope look ok, not great, but has anyone ever really used him before?

This in from an Alphabet Theme League, $80m cap, playing in Shibe '50. I had the S franchise. Nothing to brag about, but he was the best I had at the position:
Scott, G. G 156 AB 583 R 70 2B 13 HR 16 RBI 74 BB 52 SB 1
E 19 AVG. .240 SLG% .362 OB% .308.

Scott is alright . He's not going to set any records but he is very doable probably especially at FW 67. I've used him before but I couldn't tell what teams he was on either . To many teams .

I found one set of stats for Scott that I think is fairly typical for my experience with him. This team won 94 games in Riverfront.

636 80 18 20 86 53 5 14 .291 .432 .350

Thanks for the info guys, so this just as I expected nothing fancy, but good enough for 7th where I'm batting him with M May batting 8th.

I'm really tempted to take Adcock though, such a good card with such a high injury rate

I've used him a bit, now and then.

Some Great Scott teams:

I see Scott as the Earl Battey of first baseman. More power, as befits the position, but a solid value player for small ball teams. I think Ebbetts was the best hitters park I've used him in -- and that is a dead neutral park. He's never great but he's rarely bad and very consistent as the examples above show. The small variability between his three posted seasons is consistent with the ballparks he played in.
