TRYING TO GET SOME CHATTER GOING

Our historical single season sets

I guess I'm a "regular" since '69 is the only set I play these days. The player set, the lack of talent in several positions and the irregularities with the pricing of the players are very interesting to me.

I hear you on the lack of talent ugrant. Or rather I like to call it a shallow player pool as it were. I'm finding that a successful draft in 1969 is very important -- critical if you choose a slanted park. There are few 'plan B' options if you miss, in some cases like SS or even 3B there are none. And if you were hoping for power, some positions just don't have much at all in the mid level, like LF. It's very interesting. I think a live draft in 1969 would be money.

it seems like in the auto your chances of getting a good team are greater than in the a live draft. in auto they give you the next best player at the position.as opposed to live you wind up taking the the best player at any position(at least early) and they go fast. but the live draft is more fun

Only one spot left in new signup 80 MIL LIVE DRAFT DH! I'm glad to see toshiro made it in! I was going to send you a PM as you expressed interest in a similar league a long time ago. By the way, how is the 80 MIL LIVE DRAFT w/ no DH league going?

Love the 69' game. The rosters are a bit shallow, but that is a good thing. I have had success with smallball teams, as well as the powerhouses, so it depends on what mood I am in that day as to what type of team I will create.

It'd be great to see some more single season replays from classic seasons in the coming years.

I played about a dozen teams when the game first came out .... the slowness of leagues filling and my lack of palyoff success finally drove me away. I was first 6 times and the WC twice.....and only made the finals ONCE in those 8 teams .....and even with my regualr season success if the draft was bad ...you are pretty much done .....

I was asked recently to jump into a 200M league here and DID. I was 11th in the league and it still took another 3 days to fill. The leagued started this past monday...but it got my interest up again and I did another team and stuck it in an 80M league .... I filled the east.....3 days later the east is full and noone else.

I might play a few more leagues if they would just fill a bit quicker.

Maybe TSN ought to do a half price promotion for 1969.

Bernie, are you reading this?

I think Bernie quit reading ...period. Otherwise why would he ignore so many threads important to TSN and its customers .... there have been multiple threads that Bernie could respond to and put an end to some bickering going on .... but he ignores or doesn't read them ...or feels its beneath him to respond...or he is simply to busy to do so......although you can dash off a 30 word response in seconds.....

Poor Bernie.

For the low, low rate of half off, he could buy some ;)
