I have a team going right now that I got Ortiz, Hafner and Manny. Ortiz hasn't done much (lots of walks) but Hafner and Manny have been great.

Thoughts From A Division Mate:
1. After Suzuki [b:c17081bb21]or[/b:c17081bb21] Scott gets on and Howard [b:c17081bb21]or[/b:c17081bb21] Ortiz knocks them in, then what? I think your hits and OB are to low for Kaufmann. Especially in our division with my Kaufmann an Angels and a MM. And the league as a whole slants pitcher park with only the one Cell, the rest neutral or pitcher parks.
2. Speaking of the Cell, the [i:c17081bb21]Crawfords[/i:c17081bb21] forgot to get power guys. And he has Matt Diaz. A possible trade for Howard.
3. Marrero's claims to fame are his OB vs. LHP and 8 BPHR's (outs for you) vs. righties. Without an upgrade, Denorfia, who is on your roster, would serve you better in right.
4. Don't worry to much about being weak against LHP. Like you said, you are only facing 3 LHP in the division (all mine as it turns out, but that's neither here nor there). :)
5. Scott actually has more OB vs. LHP than RHP. Zero DP's. Bat him second vs. LHP.
You didn't expect to get either Ortiz or Howard. You got both. Split the difference. Keep Ortiz and tinker the rest of the week. That's the fun part anyway.

If it was me, I would keep Ortiz and trade Howard to upgrade my number 2 hitter and improve my defense (maybe adding some speed at the same time). I posted a link to my last Kaufmann team to show you what worked me in a $60 million dollar league.

For those of you that gave advice on this team and were interested, I wanted to fill you in. (because with all of your teams you have time to worry about mine :wink: )
At the quarter mark with a record of 20-22 I have given up on the Howard/Ortiz experiment. I traded Howard for Gload/Escobar. Unfortunately this just wasn't the right ballpark for these two monsters. Like I said before if I would have known I was going to end up w/ both I would have chosen a different park, like the Cell or Citizen's.

It was a good move Hizzy. At this point in the '07 game I would have tried Ortiz and Howard too. You never know what will work. Sorry to say though that I foresee an injury for Escobar (who was signed to a minor league contract by the Nationals today) next Tuesday. See you then. :)
