I feel lucky to be in the playoff. The preseson trade for Jim Rice (trading Molitor to the "BREAKERS") really paided off for both teams because I would be nowhere without Rice's big bat, and IMB got the lead-off guy he needed all these years. The other move was grabbing BC's cast-off off Bob Horner. DeCinces could hit one of the Olson twins weight and Horner drive in 74 in just over 100 games for the BFD's.

My pitching ran hot and cold, mostly cold but Lucky. Valenzula had a chance at winnng 20 with a 4.99 and 1.56 WHIP. All my starters gave up over 40 HRs and were in the top 10 in IP (who needs a bullpen?).

I am looking forward to 1985 as I am likely to get one player who can help me next year. All the major players will be back in 1985 so come and watch them tank it!

I absolutely concur with Yountfan on the Rice for Molitor deal. The trade may have been the best win-win deal I've ever made.

The Breakers came out of the gate like a tidal wave, but really swooned for a while there, letting the Beulahs and Fatboys back into the race. I have to admit that at on Jan 2nd when Yountfan announced the great race in the West... I was really nervous.

Nice awards piece there Albert. It seemed to me that both Guerrero and Reuschel were flying under the radar for most of the season.

1985 should be another great season, though I gotta wince when I look at all those great rookies coming into the new season.

The top 4 all take a pick 3 state. We use the lottery the day after the last team picks their state. First round order goes lowest to highest Pick 3. Subsequent rounds revert back to reverse order of finish.

Sorry for overlooking Rice, YF. He did have better overall numbers than Parker and should be right up there in the voting. It's anyone's pick, really. Can't go wrong with any of them. I just gave it to Guerrero because not only did he put up big time numbers, he did it in Oakland and in an ultra tough division too. Also, I must admit that in facing him so much, I got more of a first hand look at the damage he can inflict.

I have no problem with Pedro as the MVP. He did put up big numbers in Oakland for IMB. Rice had a fine season, but Guerrero was the man this year.

I am starting to colect the 84 stats so I can add them to the other years I already have. This was I can post historical leaders over the 4 year of this league. I need to identify major players who have split time in 1984 on two or more teams. I had Horner and Herandez on my team. I know about Straw and Winfield. Sutcliffe and Byleven, Mookie Wilson. Others????? The transaction link is gone so I cannot see the trades any more.

Help the cause...id they *** players. I'll post the category leaders next week.
