I would have made my pick much earlier, but someone had to pick Joe Dimaggio as the third pick in the first round. He has not been drafted in the first round in several drafts. Way to go Scooby Do.

First time I've been able to have Pete in a long time. Have had him listed as my #1 like 5 or 6 times on AD teams with no success. Thanks for letting him drop down, guys! :)

This league is fun because most of the managers are also very motivated and responsible. I know Joe would have liked to share this. It would help keep things moving if each manager would get into a habit of checking the boards at least once, if not twice a day. It would also help to leave proxy picks if you know you will be away for a time. Joe, Charlie and I have exchanged phone numbers and we will call each other if we see the other is up for a pick. Just a couple of helpful hints. It is frustrating to wait one or two or three days for one pick because of poor planning on some managers parts. The other overstuffed league is frustrating, because several managers are quite laid back. It takes us almost three weeks to draft six rounds. If you do not feel comfortable with leaving a phone number with Joe, find a friend in this league that you do feel comfortable leaving a phone number or at least leave proxy picks with, thanks, just a friendly, helpful tip.

I tend to "over-check" the boards myself, but I believe Joe and Simon have my Cel # if they need me, I have received calls in the past. I knew the Nevster would take either Yount or Banks so he forced my hand, I think that happened last time to, but I am not complaining about Ernie, always does well for me, this last Lazy Boy season was actually his worst for me and i came in first in my division. :) Let's roll off a few picks today while the playoffs are on, Go Giants and Steelers!

dspeters5 makes a good point! I also tend to "overcheck" the boards and sometimes it seems like forever waiting for someone to make a pick. Thats one thing I like about the faster live drafts...more instant gratification. Since I am still off work on disability awaiting my second knee surgery in 4 months, I'm almost always available if someone needs to send me a proxy pick. traderj, I had your phone number but lost it when we gutted all our puters down to the hard drive when we networked em all together. I need another fast draft soon! Too many waiver leagues being posted and not enough frenzys! :(

Whats goin on with your knee? I have had two surgeries, for cartilage. My daughter is a PT and she whopped up on my knee. I was screaming and hollering when she would bend and stretch it. I have two friends that have had knee replacements. One guy had to have his muscle cut and he was in quite a bit of pain, even after five weeks. My other friend is getting a titanium knee replacement and his doc is only making a one inch incision, rehab is supposed to be quick. My cousin had double knee replacements at the same time. He is screaming, might be a staph infection or a blood clot. He went back into the hospital. He is the head track coach at Air Force Aca.
