The Braves/Brewers combo made it after 10 teams were finalized. They were voted in as the best alternative Franchise being reviewed. The Reds did have 2 of the 4 committee members supporting them, however, it was decided that the Braves/Brewers with key additions were clearly best of the rest.
I'd suggest waiting for the roster for the Braves to be posted. This is because you might not know some of the players who qualified. Off hand I know G. Sisler, E. Lombardi, V. Willis and Cy Young are expected to be added but this needs to be confirmed.
The Reds who failed to gain support from the other 2 members also had the issue that Morgan, Rose, Post could play for the Phillies and when you keep Pete Alexander on Philly, add these 3 players the Phillies acquired the support to be put in over the Reds.
Frank Robinson is expected to be placed on the Indians.
Based on what was done, after 3 seasons the league can replace Franchises and this may be a chance for the Reds.
