last-minute changes throttled...

this has happened twice now, in two teams...I try to make changes just before the "deadline", but HAL seems to pre-empt his own deadline by a couple of hours...I thought I had to make changes "prior to game 146"...since game 145 begins in 1.5 hours -- i.e. hasn't been played yet -- I assumed I could, and can, still make changes...but "the deadline has passed" and it seems I can't make any more changes...is there another way to make last-minute changes?...
