I'll nominate Russ Branyan --
551 AB, 57 HR, 140 RBI for $2.59...

Saito- always kicks A as closer.
Lofton- Good RH platoon DH
Guerrero _always puts up the #
Abreu- OBP always over .400, and runs over 100
Heilman- "almost" always good middle relief.
SP - no one stands out. Had a 22 win season from Moyers though.
Theriot- expensive, but usually more than worth it.
I agree with Ross. Ozuna, not so much. I used him a lot early in the year, and he never did that well.

Many others. These are the ones I drafted a lot. Probably too much--- but they worked for me.

Victor Martinez (people underrate the switch hitter two way obp/avg and overrate the impact of his arm), Jason Smith (1.87 sal 60 obp vs lefties plays all IF pos, 6 dias vs r), and severe righty killers like Duncan, Ward. HAL doesnt seem to defend against these guys aggressively enough with situational lefty relievers, and so you get guys like Thome routinely ranking high in the mvp balloting. Wes Helms way overpriced due to multiposition eligibility and routinely passed over in leagues. Owners seem to know.

[b:ebf8c38705]Casey Blake[/b:ebf8c38705] at 3.27 (if you can keep him healthy), and [b:ebf8c38705]Brandon Phillips[/b:ebf8c38705] at 3.18, in [b:ebf8c38705]HR parks [/b:ebf8c38705]are huge values.

Love VMART (see my posts in the other thread regarding players not used) BUT not an mvp for value (albeit very valuable).

For MVP cards for the money..............

Hawpe and LOVE Macier Iztursis.

FWIW, I had E. Alfonzo -- 2.27m.

platooning him as DH and catcher, he got 36 HR and 123 RBI, with a .545 SLG (142 games) -- 7th in the league in RBI, though admittedly in a hitters' park with a big-hitting team
