That was an amazing game. So much talent.

Huskers play both teams next year.

Hopefully with Young, Leinert, Bush, White all gone we'll have a chance.

Loto sounds like fun.

Well rooting for USC the game wasn't much fun...but to be honest I don't think they deserved the win...who knows.

A slight change of topic, A-Rex was asking for some help in the main forum for his 01 team...is it me or the pricing then was really different?

I'm afraid I wasn't much help to him, if any of you guys feel like dropping him a hint or two here's the link to his topic

Now, back to NCAA. Even tough I was going for USC on the bowl my all NCAA team is the UCLA Bruins, my dad was a big Bruin fan. Between them and Notre Dame I had my handful of Saturday games growing up.

Not a big fan of any Texas Teams either...

So I was definitely pulling for USC, but Texas certainly earned that one. USC played very sloppy in the 1st half and kept trying to force passes through or over those monster corners Texas has.

When you have as much talent on the ground as USC does and you're playing a Top Notch Defense with tremendous pass defense like Texas has, you run the ball down their throats to open up the passing game - Which is exactly what they did in the 2nd half. But after the 1st Texas TD, I thought USC should have used the ground game to eat up the clock and take whatever score they could muster.

But with the momentum Texas picked up at the end of the half, no way in hell did they want to give them another possession...And another score - giving them a ton of momentum going into the visitors lockerroom.

Then SC completely dominates in the 2nd half, but I keep looking at the score and it is close. IMO, I thought the team that won would be the one with a + in the turnover column in the 2nd half...Most interesting stat - NO TURNOVERS IN THE SECOND HALF.

But what a monster comeback by Texas in a game played in Southern Cali. I was totally stunned - certain that USC would stop them.

What a tremendous game by the Texas QB, whos name suddenly escapes me. AND, he is returning as a Senior for a second senior year. Scary.

With all the good left-handed pitching that Ty is going to throw at me in our series, I'm not confident at all about advancing in the playoffs. However, if I'm lucky enough to get a credit from vets/rooks, I'll look into doing the LOTO league with you guys. Otherwise, I'll probably wait for '06 cards to play again.

Thanks, Chuck, got it. Elvira's LeatherKnockers have entered the LOTO League.

You're right, it looks like I've dropped from 5 to 4 stars. How do you lose a star?

Is TSN hinting that they want me to shut up?

Love the name! Certainly beats my Hoochie Coochies, I've got to admit that I always get a kick out of the Phanatics, just picturing an infield with players dressed in the Phanatic's costume diving for grounders, jumping a la Omar Vizquel turning Double plays and trotting after a homer gives me a good laugh.

The Phoenix Cha-Chas...well what can I say, I still laugh when I think of Randy Johnson in the Miranda Hat. If you make the effort to visualize this stuff reading the recaps is lots of fun...at least for a simpleton as myself. :D

So who's the best mascot in baseball. The Chickin or the Philly Phanatice.

My vote is the Phanatic but them I'm pretty biased.

BTW, did anyone notice the latest Huskers National Championship?

Herbie Husker was voted the Cap One Mascot of the Year!!! Okay, he's good but I'd vote for Lil Red.
