no wonder I didn't win more, those look like some of my rosters...although ive had some success. also played in several themes, so you get to more guys that way.

thome's the only one who really sticks out as never having used, but my current last fling has bonds, halladay, e. santana, mauer...and i wanted carlos guillen but didn't get him. not sure which guillen that was splinter. early on they're in first and scoring a ton of runs.

haven't used berkman either.
my biggest dogs are the crop of overpriced underpeforming centerfielders as a whole. i use duffy most of the time now and have MUCH better success, and much more money to spend elsewhere.

I am, a big fan of V Mart. His hitting card is well worth the price. I like to take him and Kendall as my 2 catchers BUT play VMart at 1B (and grab a cheap 500K 1b like keppinger for the 4-5 games that VMart has to catch).

His card is like the 06 Peralta in terms of value. But have a good base stealet bat in front of him.

That seems like a good strategy. I have considered doing that, but haven't yet. What are the average numbers that V_ Mart puts up for you?

it works pretty well. His numbers are not eye popping for 1b, but the savings with him/kendall allow for serious fire power elsewhere. for 8.4M you coveR 2 positions well with 2 guys who get 600+ AB PLUS kendall has decent clutch and will steal a few bases with a pretty good success rate (if not on aggressive steal) -- so he he is good in the 6 hole on down.

VMart hits into a ton of DP's and is a less than desired glove man. I'd rather spend the extra 100 G's for Youk...no dp's better glove.

but thats just me. :D
