Cooper in a pitcher's park

Postby tomwistar » Tue Jan 10, 2006 2:34 am

I haven't used him since ATG 1 and can't remember: is he likely to do well in mostly pitcher's parks? Maybe platoon him (expensively) with Knight? Or dump him for somebody like Cleon? He's in a lineup with two other fair-to-decent power guys (Furillo and Ennis) and lots of obp. Thanks for any advice.

Platoon him with Burns, play him in hitters' parks against non-hard LH.

There are better bargains (Chance, Judge, etc.) but if you need someone with a lot of natural HRs on the RH side of their card, Coop's a good choice.

Depends on what park he's in . 95% of the time Coop does well in any park but the 5% he doesn't he sucks . Overall though , best D and never gets hurt .

If you need a LH RBI bat he fits the bill in a pitching park fine.

I used to use him all the time in ATGI in pitching parks and won quite a bit with him. The increase in price due to the overvaluation of RH hitting makes him less valuable but still a very viable option.

Cooper stinks in any park, terrible defense, always injured, no power, a slug on the base paths, never drives in any runs ............. I recommend you don't ever use him!

Cooper has been hit-or-miss for me in a pitchers park. If the normal 65% ratio of RH SPs is in your league/division, he should do OK. If there are 6 LH SPs in your division, I would look at other options.
