Your suggestion happens to be standard protocol when dealing with family emergencies. Sadly, this isn't the first time we've had to suspend a draft due to tragic circumstances, and in the previous case it was clearly the right thing to do.

I am fine with suspending the whole thing, until Tim can deal with this horrible event. He may need a week or so to attend to all the sad, and necessary, details. Whatever he needs, or wants to do, is fine by me. Tim, my sincerest condolences to you, your wife and extended family. :(

Can you take back your own picks? Can each person, in reverse succession, undo his pick? If so, we could work our way back to Tim on our own.

suspend until needed...as long as it takes, no hurry. Undo picks back to Tim is fine with me. We can each drop our own pick back to him all we need is approval from another manager. I will drop my last pick now. Will need an approval.
