Is Pierre any good?

As a leadoff hitter or #2 with a high OBA

player with speed in front of him - he is the ultimate hitter for the price. I like a Freel/Pierre combination in a Non HR park like Fenway or PNC - or even Petco. His range and low e rating(e2) if you surround him with decent arms in LF and RF. Plus he never gets injured. He has always scored 110+ runs for me and stolen 60-80 bases - but never finishes in the top 10 in SB pct.

I don't like him in a low singles park like Safeco(As a leadoff hitter) or in the 2 spot without a speedster in front of him tho. The GB+ on a 7 roll with someone fast in front of him sees to raise his avg 15-20 points.

If you can find a better arm in CF inexpensively - then I suppose he could work well as a DH both ways, but I'd rather have cheaper DH's and Pierre in CF with better arms surrounding him.

Since we have adjacent posts, I don't know if you ever received the PT I sent you inviting you to play in the LOTO Consolation League - As I never heard back yay or nay. But it would be great to play in a league with you again, my friend.

So if you sti;ll have any 05' credits to burn, c'mon and play in the friendly confones of a LOTO League. I have opened it up to a mix nd match from another league I played in with Tyber. Lots of chatty, fun, competitive LOTO type players.

Either way, Happy New Year and my very best to you and yours. Robert

Ordinarily I would never, ever use him, but the AD was unkind, and I missed waivers. So I'm experimenting.
